- A storm began when I walked out of Linens 'n Things.
- The curtains I bought from Linens 'n Things (pink and orange) are the shorter than my current curtains. I thought the other one was way too long, psh, and they were cheaper. Now they just mismatch.
- I gave into cookies. I always do well with eating a healthy breakfast and lunch, but then the afternoon comes and I crave sweets---chocolate to be exact. I think I'm more addicted to chocolate/sweets than Starbucks. Shocker there.
- I think it's going to storm all this week.
- The Vox meet-up is in Ohio. Ugh. Virginia is for lovers, folks. Come to Virginia Beach!
- My left eye is still red =/ Not as bad as yesterday, but still red. And it hurt on and off today. I took a test on the computer (got in at 1:00 and got out little past 5:00). My eyes are tired =/
- Roger Federer lost his Wimbledon 5-year streak. Ahh, nobody really is perfect. I wanted him to win. I really did. He's a favorite of mine.
Loved:
- My doodles this morning came out kind of cute.
- My bathroom is looking awesome. I bought a pink trashcan to match the new hand towel I bought from Target and the lights I hung bordering the mirror. I'm going to JCPenny's to get bathroom rugs. I'm thinking blue-green. Eeps! Jeff is going to like my totally girly bathroom >.<
- I watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants today. I love that movie. Srsly, friends help me live, you know? Like, I wouldn't be able to get through life without friends. All you girls have been more reliable than guys ever were to me.
- Jason Mraz - A Beautiful Mess.
- I'm going to watch Wall-E tomorrow.
- My favorite tree is in my neighborhood's front lawn.
- I'm going to paint my nails a sheer-pink color because mom said the blue made me look like a drug addict.
- Rafael Nadal won Wimbledon 2008! He broke Roger Federer's 5-year streak!
- Andy Roddick. Despite disappointments, I still love him. And despite his relationship with her.
-
Seriously this is the third time I wrote this entry. And Vox keeps messing up on me. Every time the entry gets less and less detailed. But I haven't done this list in forever. Always been so busy on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for that matter.
Its A Love
- Summer
- Finishing my laundry
- My own room w/ attached bath in my apartment. Too bad I am moving back home soon, unless I find a job or people to live with. Wish I can afford my own place.
- Plurk. Add me!
- EDC. Ok that was forever ago, but still.
- Seaworld
And Hate Thing
- Unemployment
- Not running. It's been forever. Got to get back to it.
- Eating out too much. Diet starts. So many distractions!!
- Being lazy. Happens too much. Gotta start packing.
i think i understand now what the paintballers mean when they say that Isi Rimba can really tire you out.
because i slept for 14 hours right after i posted up the previous post o.O
i didn't even realize that i was that tired!
(ok perhaps falling asleep while watching the Wimbledon finals was a good indication >.<)
i told Alvin about sleeping for 14 hours and he said that that must be some kinda record lol.
on a more scary note, just checked my uni website (after a good one and a half months of staying away from it) only to find a nice, bright blue announcement there saying that results for the previous semester will be released this Friday at 10am.
so you'll either see me smiling, jumping, grinning, laughing and bloody happy, or gloomy, depressed and sulky as hell on Friday night.
let's hope it's the former.
meh, i'm scared =/
Have you ever broken a bone? If not, what's the worst injury you've sustained?
No broken bones to date. The worst injury that I can remember is when I ran and tripped on my driveway. My knee bleeding badly. I put band aids on it, completely forgetting that I was allergic to the sticky part of the band aid. Reason why I tripped because I received my ALW certificate in the mail and I think (not completely sure) that the ceremony for it was cancelled but my parents didn't know. I had planned to spend the day with my then boyfriend, Tony. I remember we did something naughty in the ALW office upstairs, the asian guy was nice enough to lie to my parents about the ceremony, i think we spent the day at Parramatta and meet up with Dechao and just bummed around. That is all I remembered from the day.(Amazingly I remember something about that day!) 6 years on, I have a really ugly scar on my right knee. But it's okay. I still have sexy legs. LOL!
I gave up on my stupid math class. I hated it and I dropped. I had no life for the past month all because I was working my ass off to make it in that class and I failed miserably. Seriously, there was absolutely no hope for me. I want to wallow, but then again I should at least pride myself in the fact that I actually tried. Oh, well. It means 24 units for the fall just to make the stupid transfer requirements. Mother effer - I'm going to try out for Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Maybe not. We'll see.
I'm a little disappointed in myself. Math is my strong point, but the pace we were going at was overwhelming. We started out as a class of 40 and we've winded down to 14. And some of the people in my class have already dropped, but are just showing up to get the jist of it. How sad would it be if it turned out that I was the only person that was still enrolled AND I failed? I swurr, I'd feel even more like an idiot.
Moving on.
Tennis lessons are back and so are the two awkward brothers from last summer. One whines and the other, well, does nothing. They act like 5-year-olds when they're 12 & 14. The youngest kid in the class doesn't even cry when he gets hit by the ball, but one of the bros throws a fit when the ball gets too close to him. OMG, you're TWELVE! And his older brother completely grosses me out. He's fourteen and lazy as fuck. He never runs with the rest of the class, doesn't stay in line, and he sniffs his fingers after he pops his pimples. MAJOR GAG! I'm shuddering just thinking about it. And don't forget their body odor! It's not entirely tolerable, but it is four times the normal level thanks to the 100+ degree weather.
Three. More. Days.
While eating a fresh juicy slice of watermelon last night after dinner, I read with full attention a report mentioned about researchers' discovery that says watermelon has effects similar to Viagra - holly cow! From now on I will say 'honey, I am 'taking' watermelon now' instead of eating it!
Watermelon may be a natural Viagra!. That's because the popular 'cuci mulut' or dessert fruit is richer than experts believed in an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels much like Viagra and other drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). HEY! not that I need one of those but a little booster is always bienvenue :- ))
However, a small problem when you eat a little too much of watermelon though, you tend to run to the bathroom more. Citrulline also present in cucumbers and walnut seedlings.
I somehow skeptical about this watermelon thing since I remember my oldman used to mentioned that this fruit is in the 'cold' category and will make me 'cold'. Now this scientists say otherwise...who should I believe? Huh!

I had a really great Fourth of July weekend.
I spent the day with Shawn and Kathleen, and the three of us went pretty much everywhere.
We even went to the garage where Shawn is keeping his new motorcycle,
and he took Kathleen for a short ride. (She loved it!)
Later on that night, Kathleen and I kept the tradition alive: we played with sparklers!
The next day, Shawn and I went to the beach, where it was warm.
I was finally able to lay out in the sun and not think about anything. ^__^
I brought one of my Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book with me. (I have at least 30 copies.)
I love perfect weekends.
Today Danish Syabil is a year older. He's 6 and looks ready for more exposures. Well, like his elder siblings, he asked for PS3 and XBOX but I don't think I am going into that option anymore. I see he has a big interest in insects and little creatures, drawing, and soccer. So, planning to put him on that direction and see how it goes. He is already asked for him birthday party last weekend, but we were all busy with earlier commitment and will only be able to spare him next weekend for a small get-together with his friends.
How fast this boy has grew up, we sometimes didn't realised that he is already 6 months away from his formal primary school obligation next year.
This was taken after his 1st b'day in 2003. At that time the digital cam was that Sony with floppy disk. Now already in the 'doom' storage.
